Cocoa and Caffeine free Protein and Supplements

As someone who suffers from SVTs (Supraventricular tachycardia) I avoid caffeine religiously. Cocoa also contains natural caffeine and I avoid that as well. However, off-the-shelf high protein snacks are almost universally flavoured with cocoa/chocolate to sweeten them.

Tip: Check vanilla flavoured protein powders as they generally don’t contain cocoa.

Do you suffer from SVTs and recommend any snacks or protein powders that work for you? Comment below. I’d love to add more to this list.

This is a list of products I’ve tried and found not to trigger any SVT episodes. Disclaimer *

Awesome Protein Powder

This protein powder was recommended by my Personal Trainer and nutritionist Hannah Keech Fitness & Nutrition. It’s great for adding sweetness to porridge or smoothies without the extra sugar. Make sure to order the Vanilla as the other flavours do contain cocoa powder.

Protein: 72g per 100g.

Ingredients: Organic Pea Protein Isolate, Brown Rice Protein, Flavouring (Vanilla), Salt, Sucralose.

* Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional. You should read the ingredients of each product before deciding to consume them. These products may trigger other SVT sufferers (just because it’s worked for me doesn’t mean they won’t trigger an episode for you).
